My QTH is on the west coast of Cumbria in a small village called St Bees, although in a small valley I have a good position for stations to the west of me where there is little except for the Irish Sea. I have a very small set up at the moment using an IC-817 with a long wire approximately 20m that I have used for portable operations connected to an old Toshiba laptop.
This station is now fully operational. There may be the odd interruption in the data which could be due to any number of things but is most likely FTP errors or that I’m on holiday!
The data from Faros is updated every hour automatically and the legend below gives the detail as to what is being heard through the soundcard.
