dear alex.i have the 160 meter version of this.i put most of the caps/resistors/smt,s in the wrong places to start.you trace looks ok but has a high noise level.does it change if the sdr,s not plugger in or not powered up.you will get that picture with nothing connected.i used mine with an old compaq 400 and found the mains psu very noisy so used and old win98se desktop instead.i used it in the line i/p and mic ok.as this is a direct conversion set the transformer has to be wired correctly or it will be very deaf.i prechecked my sdr on a sope 2c if the oscillator was running and getting to the chips.have used the pc,s built in sound card on all pc,s.check for loops from l1 and t1.can check one kit out if you like

Alex - I've had this problem with my Softrock 40. If I remember correctly, I think that in my case the issue was resolved by checking and correcting the audio connections to the sound-card. Make sure you have good solid connections to your sound-card and good luck!
